All inclusive Chocolate Fountain Rentals are $275.00 and require a 100.00 deposit upon date reservation.
Some Frequently asked questions are as follows;
#1. What Kind of Chocolate is Used with the Fountain?
We use a type of chocolate called “couverture” (a French word for ‘coating’), which is a higher quality chocolate that contains 32-39% cocoa butter. In addition to creating a better ‘flow’, it assures a higher quality appearance as well as taste.
#2. What is the Maximum Number of Guests that the Chocolate Fountain will Serve?
The Chocolate Fountain will serve an unlimited number of guests as long as additional chocolate is added. Our package includes 15 lbs of Chocolate, which is usually adequate for appetizers for up to 100 guests. Additional chocolate can be purchased. Of course, we will always have an adequate supply on hand if needed.
#3. What Dessert Item isn’t Recommended to Use with the Fountain?
Anything that will break apart easily or is crumbly--especially pound cake--which tends to compromise the smooth, flowing nature of the chocolate. "The Chocolate Fountaineers" recommend a more heavenly, healthful, choice--low fat or no fat Angel Food Cake. It has a more substantial texture than the regular Angel Food Cake. Dipping items that work well include; Strawberries, Bananas, Green Grapes, Pretzels, Marshmallows, Rice Crispie Treats, non crumbly Cookies, Mini Cream Puffs, Mini Brownie Bites, Apples, Fresh Pineapple Chunks are a particular favorite!
#4. Do You Provide the Accompaniments?
We have found that many facilities do not allow outside vendors to provide food items - that is either included with your package or an additional item for you to purchase through the facility. If this is not the case, you may have already booked a caterer to provide your event with appetizers. We’ve found that over 90% of our bookings do not want us to provide the food. With that in mind, our package does not include the accompaniments.
Beautiful high end silver tableware is included as a part of your rental package and we are more than happy to assist you with tried and true shopping choices and attractive food placement. We highly recommend this smart and cost effective option for the hostess.
#5. Can the Chocolate Fountain be Used Outside?
The Chocolate Fountain operates best in enclosed areas. The Chocolate has such a sweet, inviting aroma that it attracts insects and bugs. The Chocolate also must be kept at a certain temperature, and fluctuating outdoor conditions will affect the chocolate’s integrity. If however your entertaining area is tented we have an attractive clear cylindrical wind guard that can be utilized. This is of course included in your rental package if needed.
#6. How Long Can I Have The Chocolate Fountain At My Event?
Our package includes 4 hours of fountain enjoyment, which is usually plenty of time for your guests to enjoy this unique experience! Should you decide to use the Fountain longer, we'll work with you.
#7. Who is Responsible for Set-Up, Tear-Down and Clean Up of The Chocolate Fountain?
Fortunately, we do all the work for you. We arrive approximately 1 hour prior to start time to ensure that your guests will smell the sweet aroma of the chocolate as they enter the room. A Chocolate Fountaineer will be there at all times keep the fountain pristine at all times. Although our attendant will be happy to assist the facility's staff concerning The Chocolate Fountain's table, the staff is ultimately responsible for replenishing the accompaniments and the general appearance of the table. Once the event is over we'll dismantle and take it away. You will only have to enjoy your event!
#8. What are the Table and Electrical Requirements?
The Chocolate Fountain requires a 120 volt grounded electrical outlet within 10 feet of the location of the Fountain. In addition, a sturdy table is mandatory. If it’s not level, the chocolate will not flow properly.
Please re-confirm these requirements with your facility before the event so that there is no delay in the set-up of the fountain. In addition, the facility should provide a skirted cloth, however, if this is not possible, beautiful high end table linens and aesthetically pleasing table decorations are included in your rental package.
#10. What’s Required to Reserve The Chocolate Fountain?
A $100 non-refundable deposit is required to hold your date. After the deposit is received with all the information about your event (date, place, time, type of event, etc.,) you will receive 2 contracts in the mail. Sign them, keep one for your records and return the other to us. The balance will then be due 2 weeks prior to your event. We want your planning to be as effortless as possible.
